The price of our time tracking system is composed of the basic fee and the costs for the used modules. The customer can choose between two subscription models. On the one hand, a flexible option that can be cancelled monthly. On the other hand, an annual variant with attractive discounts is available. The monthly base fee for maintenance, support and operation is 18€ for monthly subscription and 15€ for annual subscription. The module prices for both variants depend on how many employees use the modules.

No. However, TimeTac offers you additional services such as the onboarding service. A TimeTac employee takes over the creation of your employee accounts and the configuration of your account. If you decide to use this service, we will charge a one-time fee. In addition, TimeTac offers you a selection of TimeTac time tracking terminals. The purchase of a terminal is also a one-time cost. However, this does not increase the monthly or annual fee.

Monthly subscription

Monthly subscription is based on the number of seats actually activated per module. The service period is the calender month of the invoice date. All seats activated for more than 5 days during the service period will be billed.


Annual subscription

When concluding the contract or changing from monthly to annual subscription, the customer picks a number of seats per module. The cost for the selected seats and modules is billed for a service period of one year in advance.


In case more than the billed seats are needed, those seats are billed pro-rata for the remainder of the service period, beginning with the start of the month in which the additional seats are occupied. The costs are billed at the end of the month. The amount of additionally required seats is calculated on the basis of all seats who were activated for more than five days per month.


The provider does not reimburse for unoccupied seats. The number of seats purchased in the invoice at the beginning of the service period, as well as any additional seats purchased during the service period, can be used until the end of the service period. In case of automatic renewal of the annual subscription, the number of active users at the end of the current service period will be taken as the number of required seats for the new service period.

Monthly subscription

You don’t commit to a long-term contract when you decide to use TimeTac in your company. If you no longer need TimeTac in your company, you can easily cancel at the end of each month with at least a seven-day period of notice. You encounter no risks when using TimeTac, so you can start using the benefits without hesitation.


Annual subscription

In the case of annual subscription, termination is possible with a notice period of 30 days to the end of the service period (one calendar year after conclusion of the contract). If a notice of termination adhering to this period of notice is not given, the term is automatically renewed for a further calendar year.

Before you order TimeTac, we offer you the opportunity to test our time tracking system for 30 days completely free of charge and without any obligation. During this time, you can convince yourself of the benefits for your company. If you decide to continue working with TimeTac, you activate your account in the trial version. You can immediately continue working with the already saved data and thus contune to benefit from the features in the future.

Test Accounts

Setting up your test account takes only a minute. All you have to do is fill out this form, and we will send an email to you immediately. With this email, you will receive a link to your test account. Your free account has full functionality and is limited to 30 days.

No bank account or credit card information is required to set up the trial account. You do not commit to anything.

Yes. You have the option to convert your test account directly into a productive account to continue using TimeTac seamlessly. All data for Employee Time Tracking, Project Time Tracking and Leave Management will be retained. However, if required, we are happy to delete the data from the test phase so that you can start with a completely new account.

Easily activate your unlimited access within your test account by yourself or contact us. We will be happy to advise you on the optimal configuration of your TimeTac account without obligation and are available to answer any questions you may have.

You don’t have to cancel your test account because it will expire automatically after 30 days and will be deleted afterwards. If TimeTac did not convince you, there is no additional effort for you. You can let your test account expire.

Configuration & Support

TimeTac offers you numerous customization options ranging from working time models and allowances to access rights and more. In addition, you determine individually for which employee you book which modules. You can add additional modules at any time or cancel a module that you no longer need. This way, you only pay for the functions you actually use.

Yes, TimeTac offers you the possibility to import personnel master data into TimeTac. Please follow our import guidelines. In addition, we offer an onboarding service. A TimeTac employee will create the personnel data and configure your account. Learn more about the onboarding service.

TimeTac’s software is already preconfigured and ready for you to use. You can import the employee data, map your company, and set your requirements in the account immediately after activating your account.

There are no additional costs if you decide to set up and configure your account yourself. You can access numerous support resources on our website free of charge. However, you also have the option of using our onboarding service. In this case, a TimeTac employee will assist you with the setup. The price for this service is available upon request.

No. You don’t need any programming knowledge as TimeTac’s functions are already preconfigured for you. You select the settings your company needs in our interface. The preconfigured standard settings can be modified according to your needs if you have individual requirements.

Yes, we offer you support during the implementation of TimeTac. With our so-called “Onboarding Service”, a TimeTac employee works with you to clarify your requirements regarding company working time regulations, takes care of the initial data import, and your TimeTac account’s basic configuration. Your data is secured on highly available servers with ISO 2001 certified hosting service providers. In addition, they are stored at two separate server locations and mirrored. A fully automated backup is done once a day. The 24/7 monitoring ensures the reliable operation of the servers. Thus, your information is protected against data loss, and the best possible data security is guaranteed.

No. We offer TimeTac as a cloud solution as a “Software-as-a-Service” (SaaS). This means that you rent TimeTac’s software, and your data is stored on our hosted servers within the EU with the primary server location in Germany. TimeTac’s service includes the use of the software, including updates, further development, support and technical operation.

TimeTac has an excellent access rights system. In a company, many different tasks are performed by different employees. TimeTac meets this requirement by allowing access rights to be customized accordingly. TimeTac enables you to define customized access rights for each individual employee. You can determine which information or data is visible to your employees.

Yes, data protection regulations stipulate a Data Processing Agreement should be signed. You can find it directly in your TimeTac account, where you can accept it in compliance with the law.

Yes. Your data will be treated according to the new guidelines of the GDPR. You can find out more here.

After cancellation, we will keep your data for a maximum of 30 days. During this period, you can have data returned. After this period, we will permanently delete your data, including backups.

No. TimeTac is a web-based time tracking system, and therefore nothing needs to be installed. You can use time tracking via Mac and PC. All you need is a functioning browser and internet access, and you can start using TimeTac. You also don’t need to install any additional software on your device to take advantage of the system.

TimeTac supports all major browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari. We recommend the Google Chrome browser for the TimeTac web application.

Yes, all TimeTac smartphone apps are also offline-capable to ensure that your employees can always use the functions and track times independent of location or time. The locally stored data is synchronised as soon as the smartphone is connected to the internet again.

No, you do not need to update TimeTac. Since TimeTac is a web-based time tracking system, TimeTac updates the system for you. So you always use the latest version of TimeTac and automatically benefit from improvements and product enhancements.

TimeTac provides standardized interfaces for many programs in payroll accounting, CRM systems, ERP systems and others. We are happy to support you in the technical implementation of interfaces. TimeTac can also be connected to existing user management systems such as Active Directory. In addition, the TimeTac API offers the possibility to exchange data with TimeTac. TimeTac is suitable for all industries. Due to the customizability of the account settings (e.g. for working time models and allowances), TimeTac can implement your industry-specific requirements. In addition, the TimeTac time tracking system can be operated from all end devices, e.g. PC/Mac, smartphone, time clock, etc. The flexible usability allows your employees, whether in the office, on the construction site, in the production building or on the road, to track working hours.

During the development of TimeTac, we wanted to ensure that employee time tracking does not impose any user limits. You can determine how many employees work with TimeTac and should track time with the system. You also have the option to define time tracking for teams and departments to map operational structures in TimeTac.

No. Training for TimeTac is not mandatory. If you need support, we offer numerous resources free of charge. These include training materials, tutorials, webinars and customer support. Additionally, we offer an optional onboarding service and individual training sessions.

Yes. TimeTac is a server-based system which means that tracked time data is immediately synchronized with the central system or stored offline and is therefore not lost. For example, e.g., You can start time tracking in the web browser, book your break with your smartphone end time tracking via terminal.
